Hop Beacon Printers also offer different printers including set up and troubleshooting. Since printers are already our expertise, we make sure that we are up-to-date with the latest printing technology and we study and test them one by one.
There are several types of printers available in our shop but we will share to you the most popular and most useful for small scale projects.
Laser printer – this is used for offices because it is more efficient and cost effective than ink ject printers. It has high printing speed and high paper capacity. However, it sometimes require short warm up times and may use a higher voltage than others.
Solid ink printer – this utilizes a unique form of ink technology. It is designed to save space and money on packaging. The printers melt solid ink sticks during the printing process – a method that can help produce more vibrant tones. It is environment-friendly. Its disadvantage is that prints cannot be laminated.
LED printer – this is similar to laser printers but uses a light emitting diode rather than a laser to create images on the print drum or belt. LED printers are considered more efficient and reliable than laser printers. It is cheaper to manufacture and often include free warranty extensions.
Business ink jet printer – this printer utilizes inkjet technology on large scale. This is usually use by a busy office that require a lot of printing documents. This type of printer is popular due itsreliability and robust nature. It produces detailed and photo-realistic prints. Because of its capacity, this usally costs more that most printers.
Ink jet printer – this is the smaller version and usually used for home office. It has no warm up time but usually prints at a slower speed is prone to clogging.
Multifunction printer – this is capable of performing printing, copying, scanning, and faxing tasks. This type of printer is the most efficient because it has a lot of functions so it is worth investing on. It can definitely perform different tasks simultaneously.
Dot Martrix – this one is the oldesty type of printer and Images and text are drawn out in tiny dots when a print head strikes an ink-soaked cloth against the paper in the required pattern or formation. This is low cost but printed outputs have low resolution.
